Steel City (2011-2012)
The foundry area lives its own life; it’s a city in itself with a distinct atmosphere of industry very similar to that of the Steel City created by Jules Verne. The darkness is penetrated only by occasional sunrays or by a red light which radiates from molten metal. The heavy air is thickened by metal dust, oil and smoke; the heat and noise can be perceived on the faces of the workers, which are the part of this environment, wedged between the machinery and equipment. The colours and melted in a single complex of brown, bronze and gray with a few orange accents in small details.
